It is with great joy that I proclaim—“We have a new Rector!”
This month your Vestry offered a Letter of Agreement to Rev. Curtis Norman of Stephenville, TX. He accepted our offer and agreed to become our next Rector.
Curt received his Bachelor of Arts, Radio, Television and Film from the University of North Texas and his Master of Divinity in Theology from Sewanee, The University of the South in 2001. He has served as an Assistant at Christ Church, Plano, Texas and St. Peter’s Church Del Mar, California. He served as Rector at St. Luke’s Church in Denison, Texas and most recently at St. Luke’s Church Stephenville, Texas.
Curt is married to Margaret and they have 2 children, Karina, age 12 and Cade, age 10. Their first Sunday at St. John’s will be January 8, 2017. Please make plans to attend church that day to welcome our new Rector and his family.
This successful search was possible due to the hard work of our Search Committee led by Marcia Hoffman and members Ellen Redfield, Jane Girdham, Lucas Curell, Dann Federico, Dave Humpert, Matt Gerhardt, Berney Jones, and Paul Schaub.
