The next time you are in church take time to really look at our beautiful stained glass windows. They have stories to tell – from the birth of Jesus to his crucifixion and stories of our patron, St. John.  Not so easy to find are the stories of the people who gave us those windows.  If you know any of their stories, please share them with us. The windows are a valuable part of our heritage.

The windows are beautiful, but some are in urgent need of repair. St. John, over the altar, is damaged and the large window over the stairs to the community room is seriously bowed out. This has been known for several years.  Unless we take care of them now, it may be much more expensive later.

The Building and Grounds Committee has received two bids for the work. “We” (vestry, finance committee, building and grounds and other concerned parishioners) are putting together a plan to raise the necessary money.  It will be a combination of pledges, grants and possibly loans.  To apply, we need to have pledges in hand.  The pledge drive will begin in the fall.  Stay tuned for more information, and thank you for your support.
