A Michigan native, Fr. Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and graduated from Nashotah House Theological Seminary with his Masters of Divinity. We welcomed Fr. Daniel and his family to our ministry in September of 2011.

Ms. Young started at St. John's in 1998 and has continued to play a vital role since then. She is nearly always the voice on the other end of the line when trying to reach the parish office and the first contact for connecting guests with information and parishioners with staff. Organizing financials, events, and volunteers, she oversees many of the activities that keep St. John's running.

Mr. Simons is currently the Director of Music and Organist at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Saginaw, Michigan where he oversees a multi-faceted program.  At St. John’s he developed the Choral Scholar program which includes several positions of musical leadership awarded to students studying music from Saginaw Valley State University and Central Michigan University.  Under his leadership, the repertoire of the inter-generational St. John’s Choir has grown to include major works such as Luigi Boccherini’s Gloria, and the Missa Brevis in D Major of Mozart, as well as regular services of Choral Evensong.  In addition to his work at St John’s, he is also an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at Saginaw Valley State University.

Ms. Simons has been with St. John's since 2007. Here, she is primarily responsible for the website and printed communication such as monthly newsletters, bulletins, annual reports, and external advertising. She also represents St. John's in Saginaw's West Saginaw Civic Association.

Mr. Gissendanner has served as our parish sexton since 2007 picking up where his father, Jim Gissendanner, left off. A jack-of-all-trades, Al keeps St. John's running smoothly and looking it's best.
