Singing in the choir isn’t just for adults. It can be an enormously formative experience for kids, too! Students third grade and above are all invited to join the VFL: Youth Choir. At St. John’s, we use the Voice for Life curriculum, a comprehensive singing program that teaches students to read music, sing with good technique and hone their leadership skills. The choir is led by a veteran choral scholar, Heather Seaton.
When are rehearsals?
Voice for Life will begin on September 10th and rehearse Sundays at 9:15 AM and again following the 10:30 AM service until 12:15 PM.
Who will direct the program?
The program will be led by a veteran choral scholar, Heather Seaton. Heather has sung with St. John’s for 3 years and is a music education student at Saginaw Valley State University. Heather recently attend a Royal School of Church Music conference in North Carolina to learn all of the ins and outs of the Voice for Life Program.
