Every now and then I like to share what I’m reading and what I’m listening to (yes, I know I’m ending a sentence with a preposition).

Book-wise, I’m methodically (meaning slowly) making my way through Where Jesus Leads: Helping Christian Communities to Follow by Jim Gettel. Jim is the Canon for Congregation Life in the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan, and is an acquaintance. In the next month of so, the Vestry will begin reading this, as well, and discuss a chapter at the beginning of each meeting.

Isn’t it great that our Michigan weather has been so mild recently? Wait. Two-to-five inches of snow forecast for tomorrow. In any event, the milder weather has allowed me to get out and walk the neighborhood on an almost daily basis. When I do, I listen to podcasts by theologians. Yes, I’m a church nerd. But it’s great stuff! Linked below are some of the podcasts currently on my iPhone. As you may see (and hear) from this small sampling, I like to listen to a variety of theologians who approach God for different perspectives. That’s just one of the many benefits of being an Episcopalian.
